Roles & Duties

Fill out the interest form below and we'll contact you for training.

Evening Kitchen Coordinator (8:10–9:00 PM)

Report to the kitchen at 8:10, unload the van (food trays, food shields, utensils), label unserved food for the SLM refrigerator, wash and dry all trays/shields/utensils/drink cambros, air out the hot boxes, restock the van for the next day, and return it to its labeled spot.

Cook / Accent Cook (~5:00–6:45 PM)

Prepare pre-packaged salad, warm bread, beverages, and pre-cut desserts in the PCC kitchen; heat other dishes for the meal (sometimes overflow from the previous night); on rare occasions cook simple dishes like rice or pasta.

Cook / Group Cook

Scheduled by availability. SLM provides donated ingredients (frozen casseroles, canned fruits and vegetables) for Open Cook Dates — generally a group prepares the full meal, or an individual contributes a dish. The PCC kitchen is open nightly 5–10 PM and most Fridays, fully stocked. Fresh fruit, frozen vegetables, cooked frozen meat, and takeout are all welcome contributions — drivers can even pick up takeout.

Driver (6:15–8:00 PM)

Arrive at the van early enough to ensure food is delivered by 7:00. Load and label food, drinks, utensils, and supplies; drive to the service location; check in with the table captain; assist moving food to the service area; reload the van after service; return unused food; complete the driver's report.

Food Server

Sites are open 6:30–8:00 PM. Arrive by 6:45 PM. After the sermon, meet with the table captain and serve food, utensils, or beverages per their direction.
