Serving the Mid-Peninsula since 2001

We meet people on the street — not the other way around.

Hot meals, real relationship, and a path toward recovery for the homeless and at-risk community of Menlo Park, Redwood City, and Palo Alto. No building. No paperwork. No walls necessary.

Our approach to outreach

No walls necessary

We go where the need is — not the other way around. Since 2001, Street Life Ministries has brought hot, home-cooked meals directly to the streets of the Mid-Peninsula — no building, no registration, no conditions. That low-barrier setting is what makes real connection possible: the kind that leads to clothing, medical care, housing referrals, and eventually, recovery. What started with one pastor and a few pizzas near a Menlo Park train station has grown into a movement of 500+ volunteers, serving over 30,000 meals a year.

Three ways we show up

From a hot plate on a Tuesday night to a twelve-month path to recovery — every program starts with the same thing: showing up.
